The exhibition has been prepared and presented in three-year Czech-German project of the Municipal Museum in Deggendorf (2007), House of Frankish history in Abenberg (2008) and the Museum of Cheb, Karlovy Vary by Region (2009). The exhibition is based on the original German version made in Deggendorf and is extended and completed a part of Czech life and institutions. National Agricultural Museum exhibition borrowed Praha Cheb Museum, the Karlovy Vary Region.
The exhibition focuses on the presentation of culinary phenomenon Bavarian and Czech cuisine – dumpling – museum resources. It captured the history of food in the Czech and German environment are discussed and European context. The subjects are presented kitchen equipment needed for production of dumplings, dumplings can be found in many texts and photographs, dumplings are reflected in songs, in literature, in fairy tales and legends. Kitchen with dumplings of all kinds is a place of comfort and friendship.
