ICOM Opening party was an unforgettable evening for all!

It was a great honor for us to be able to welcome colleagues from museums from all over the world at Opening Party of the 26th ICOM General Conference, which was held on 22nd August 2022! The meeting took place in our National Museum of Agriculture and neighboring National Technical Museum and despite the weather it was an unforgettable evening for all!

A varied program awaited the guests in the form of a performance by Cirk La Putyka, a concert by Alexander Vrábel's cimbalom music, a ride on the National Technical Museum's Carousel and a banquet with Czech specialities. Tours of both museums were a matter of course, and the carriage ride pulled by by the Kladruber horses from the National Studat Kladruby nad Labem was especially romantic. In the following days, the participants of the conference can expect meetings of individual ICOM committees, as well as visits to other partner museums, including our Museum of Viticulture, Horticulture and Landscaping in Valtice.
