Hannoversche Maschinenbau AG Hanomag, in short Hanomag, was founded in 1835. The company manufactured agricultural machinery, locomotives, trucks, and construction machinery. In 1958 Hanomag was taken over by Rheinstahl. The R40 tractors were made from 1942 and were used also by the post-war Czechoslovak air force. The exhibit has undergone an extensive amateur tuning.
