In the interwar period, the company Vítkovické horní a hutní těžířstvo manufactured stationary engines under licence from German engineering companies. The GL stationary engine was called "Vítkovice Güldner-Lanova" small diesel engine. The company produced three types of the engine - GL7, GL10 and GL14. The engines were all equipped with one cylinder, and they varied in the number of revolutions per minute. They could be placed on a cart, sleigh, or attached to a construction.
