In the interwar period, the company Vítkovické horní a hutní těžířstvo manufactured stationary engines under licence from German engineering companies. The GL stationary engine was called "Vítkovice Güldner-Lanova" small diesel engine. The company produced three types of the engine - GL7, GL10 and GL14.
